About

Bolton Access Television is an independent, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation designated by the Bolton Board of Selectmen as the Access Provider for Comcast Channel 22 and Channel 8. Our mission is to provide and promote Public, Education, and Government (PEG) media access to all for the purpose of facilitating public communication for the community of Bolton. Bolton Access TV is not a town board or committee, though we do work closely with the Selectmen, town boards, and Town Hall staff to fulfill our mission.

We film, produce, and archive a wide variety of activities, events, and meetings that are of interest to our local community. A big proportion of our work is recording and archiving government meetings like Select Board, Advisory, and School Committee, but we also cover events such as concerts, parades, festivals, and educational talks. All of the public meetings and locally produced content we air are available on demand right here on our website – just click the “watch” tab at the top of the page!

Funding for station operations and equipment is provided mainly by a small percentage of the profits from Bolton's Comcast TV subscribers, a structure that was put in place by the 1984 Cable Act. Tax money is not used. Unfortunately, as more people "cut the cord" and turn to streaming services for their TV we loose our funding. If you no longer subscribe to a traditional cable package please consider making a tax deductible donation to help us continue our work! Visit BoltonAccess.TV/Donate for more details or email us at BoltonAccessTV@comcast.net.
